County Schools There are many opportunities for vendors, contractors, and consultants to do business with Leon County Public Schools. As one of the largest businesses in Leon County, the District purchases all types of supplies, materials, commodities, and services; as well as constructing and maintaining a large number of facilities. The School Board is committed to promoting and developing business relationships with a wide variety of businesses and ensuring that local small businesses have the chance to compete for a fair share of these opportunities. Our MissionThe first and foremost mission of the Leon County Schools Purchasing Department is to support the education of the students in the District. This support is accomplished by the expeditious completion of the procurement process for products and services required by the schools and administrative departments of the District. The Purchasing Department is committed to the active pursuit and solicitation of maximum vendor response and participation in the acquisition of materials, supplies and services which meet the identified needs of schools and departments at the best possible price, giving due consideration to quality, program conformity and legal statutes on behalf of the Leon County School Board.
